Hunan Provincial Museum is located in Kaifu District of Changsha, Adjacent to Martyrs Park, it covers an area of 51,000 square meters and a public building area of 29,000 square meters.
It was established in 1951 and officially opened in 1956.
It is one of the largest art museums.
Hunan’s history is also the first national museum.
A central location has established a national key museum, a national patriotism education demonstration base and Hunan AAAA tourist attractions.
The Hunan Provincial Museum has a collection of more than 180,000 cultural relics, of which Mawangdui Han Tomb, Shang Dynasty and Zhou Dynasty cultural relics are the most important.
